Meghan McCain celebrated her time on the daytime TV staple and looked to the future on her last episode.
The day has finally come that Meghan McCain, 36, said good-bye to her co-hosts on The View. Meghan’s last episode on the daytime talk show was Friday August 6, and it was certainly an emotional affair. She has been a permanent co-host of The View since 2007, and she spoke about what an impact the show has had on her life. “I don’t know what else to say other than thank you all again. You women have been so incredible to work with,” she told her co-hosts
While Meghan was known to butt heads with her co-hosts on numerous occasions, her fellow co-stars seemed sad that she won’t be a fixture on the series any longer. Before showing highlights of Meghan on the show, Whoopi Goldberg called her “a co-host who’s never been at a loss for words since she joined the hot topic table four years ago.” Besides her colleagues, Arizona Democratic Senator Kyrsten Sinema was a guest and raved about her friendship with Meghan. The crew also surprised Meghan with a video message from former Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, wishing her the best.
To celebrate her final show, Meghan’s mom, Cindy McCain, was one of the guests. Cindy gushed over how proud she was of her daughter, and what she looked forward to after her run on The View ends. “I’m so proud of Meghan. What I look forward to in many ways is to be able to see more of her and to see more of my granddaughter Liberty. I think she’s done a wonderful job. I love her independence,” Cindy said. “I’m glad she chose a little bit of family over too much work right now.”
Before her final episode aired, Meghan tweeted her appreciation to be a part of the iconic talk show on Thursday August 5. “Thank you for allowing me the privilege of sharing my opinion with you every day. I wish my cohosts and the show the best of luck and good will going into season 25,” she wrote.
Tomorrow is my last show as a cohost @TheView – as they say, it was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of sharing my opinion with you every day. I wish my cohosts and the show the best of luck and good will going into season 25! pic.twitter.com/vl0gJgH45x

Meghan announced her plan to leave the show at the beginning of the month in the July 1 episode. The co-host announced that it was not “an easy decision” and she considered it a “privilege” to be a part of the show. Meghan mentioned that the plan was at least in part inspired by her move to Washington D.C. during the COVID-19 pandemic. Having already split time between the capital and New York city, she said she wanted to stay in the city with her husband Ben Domenech to raise their daughter Liberty. “I just have this really wonderful life here that I felt like I didn’t want to leave,” she said at the time.
When Meghan first announced that she was leaving the show, she said that her dad, late Senator John McCain, was a key reason that she joined the show. During Friday’s episode, Meghan’s mom reiterated just how proud the senator would be of his daughter. “He thought [The View] would be a good format for her. We used to call her John McCain in a dress when she was little. We knew she could do it, we knew she had the ability to make waves or deal with controversy, all the things you do so well on this show. He also wanted her to have an opportunity to really express herself and spread her wings a little more,” Cindy said.
Even though she’ll be leaving The View, Meghan already seems like she’s getting busy on her next project. She was named as the executive producer of Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff: The Kristine Carlson Story, a Lifetime movie about the author, via Deadline. The movie notably stars Heather Locklear as Kristine Carlson in her first acting role since 2017.
Throughout her time on The View, Meghan often offered a more conservative perspective on issues, and was not shy about sharing her opinion. She fought with her co-hosts about various issues on numerous occasions, and offered tons of hot takes on whatever the women discussed during the “Hot Topics” segments. Despite often verbally sparring with her co-hosts, Meghan also would occasionally joke and have amusing anecdotes from her life.
Bernie Sanders’ Viral Inauguration Outfit Transforms Into ‘Sexy’ Halloween Costume
Bernie Sanders’ now-iconic Inauguration Day ensemble was already a meme, but now it’s also a Halloween costume. See the pics!
Get your mittens out, because Bernie Sanders is officially getting the Halloween treatment. The senator, 80, went viral back in January after rocking a very cozy outfit during President Joe Biden‘s inauguration, and a ‘sexy’ take on his ‘fit is now available to purchase. Online retailer Dolls Kill is selling the meme-worthy ensemble ahead of the spooky holiday, titling it the Once Again Asking Costume Set.
The company describes the ‘fit as a “political chairman costume,” which features “a grey coat, cozy mittens, and a face mask for a total insta-worthy moment.” While Bernie wore a puffy coat and black pants to the Inauguration, the costume, which retails for $85, doesn’t include any bottoms. HollywoodLife has reached out to Bernie Sanders’ team for comment.
Social media users were quick to comment on the look, which is one of the more surprising outfits to be turned into Halloween inspo.”WHY DOLLSKILL SELLING A SEXY BERNIE SANDERS COSTUME?!” one person asked, while another quipped, “Just when you think you’ve seen it all… a ‘sexy’ Bernie Sanders Halloween costume. Of course, it’s marketed as a ‘political chairman’ costume. Ha!”
Although the day was about Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris, all eyes were on the Vermont senator after a photo circulated of him sitting with his arms crossed in the audience. He discussed the photo on Late Night With Seth Meyers, explaining that his now-iconic mittens, like anything he chooses, were all about practicality.
“I was just sitting there trying to keep warm, trying to pay attention to what was going on,” Sanders told Meyers, with a laugh. The viral photo from the January 20 festivities became a meme in real time. Images of a seemingly grumpy Sanders replacing Samantha in the Sex and the City cast, chilling in Guy Fieri‘s convertible, sitting on the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones, and just riding a dirty subway car in NYC started making the rounds. Thousands upon thousands of these popped up on Twitter.

Ray J Breaks Silence After Buzz That He & Kim Kardashian Have A 2nd Sex Tape
Ray J addressed the rumors that he & Kim Kardashian have a second sex tape together in a recent Instagram post.
Ray J shot down rumors that he and his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian have a second sex tape together. After Wack 100, Ray J’s former manager, said on a recent podcast that he had “more graphic footage” of Kim, Ray finally addressed the situation in an Instagram comment.
Responding to the podcast video, Ray J wrote, “This ain’t cool – I been staying off the Raydar – Just staying focused and being humble and thankful for all the blessings I’m receiving. How can I show growth and maturity if this kinda of stuff keeps happening?”
Ray J, who is a father of two to kids Melody, 3, and Epik, 1, with Princess Love, continued to write, “I’m a father now and my job is to be a great parent and put them first. This is not the message I want to send out – smh.”
Meanwhile, Kim’s attorney, Marty Singer, denied the tape to Page Six, saying in a statement, “The claim that there is an unreleased sex tape is unequivocally false. It is unfortunate that people make these statements to try and get their 15 minutes of fame.”
Ray J and Kim filmed their first sex tape in 2002 while they were in Cabo, Mexico for Kim’s birthday. The tape was later released in 2007 and caused a worldwide stir as it circulated the internet. However, Kim and Ray have since moved on and gone about their lives. They actually do not have a second tape together and Ray J wants everyone to know that, which he made clear in his recent comments.
