Could the crew at Dunder Mifflin get back together to bring a bright spot to what is an already wild 2021? Creator-Producer Greg Daniels says a reunion is getting closer to becoming a reality.
Fans of NBC’s beloved The Office have been clamoring for a reunion ever since the show left the air in 2013 after nine hilarious seasons. While nearly eight years later it might be hard to get the entire cast back together again, it is looking like a far greater possibility than it has in years. The Office is now on NBC’s new streaming service, Peacock. It left Netflix after a long run on Jan. 1, 2021, officially moving “home” and creator-producer Greg Daniels says that is a plus in making a reunion move forward.
“I think it’s more likely now that the show’s on Peacock. But no plans right now,” Greg tells E! News, but added, “People are more open to it now it seems like. I think the issue is what is left to say about the characters. I don’t know, it’s still pretty vague.”
Greg noted that “The weird thing about that is when we ended it, we jumped forward a year and a lot of them aren’t working anymore (at paper company Dunder Mifflin). Daniels joked that one way around it could be finding unused old material. “It would be fun to go find some lost episodes and shoot them as if they were back in 2010 or something,” he told the outlet. The Office debuted on NBC in March 2005 and ran through May 2013.
While in the years since some of the cast members have been ambivalent about bringing the show back to life for a reunion, it seemed like the COVID-19 home lockdown made them miss each other. Michael Scott himself Steve Carell appeared on co-star John Krasinski‘s web series Some Good News in March 2020 and gushed, “Just to see your face is so great,” while John told him, “I miss you a ton, man.” The Quiet Place star/director then added, “Listen, I know everybody’s talking about a reunion. I just hope one day we just get to reunite as people,” referring to being in quarantine.
Two months later in May 2020, the cast did reunite — virtually — for the wedding of two The Office superfans. An engaged couple from Maryland tweeted to John, asking him to attend their wedding virtually (due to COVID-19). John (not Krasinski) was such a big fan that he proposed to fiancee Susan outside of a convenience store, just like Krasinski’s Jim Halpert did with Jenna Fischer‘s Pam Beesly on the show, minus the pouring rain. So sweet!
When the couple appeared with John on the episode of Some Good News, he surprised them on his web series by letting them know he was ready to officiate if the wedding happened right then and there, and that he had become a registered officiant just for the couple’s ceremony. Krasinski secretly got their parents and friends together via Zoom. Not only did John officiate, Jenna joined in on the video wedding, even getting dolled up in a pretty dress for the ceremony.
Then John blew everyone’s minds by introducing the entire cast of The Office, who all appeared via Zoom. Steve Carell, Mindy Kaling, B.J. Novak, Angela Kinsey, Rainn Wilson, Ed Helms and more were on hand as John pronounced the super fans husband and wife. The cast also each did fun dances from their lockdown locations to celebrate the nuptials and provide a little touch of what could have been a wedding reception. It wasn’t an official reunion in the Dunder Mifflin Scranton, PA office, but it was the next best thing for fans!
Christie Brinkley, 66, Goes ‘Swimming In The Rain’ In Black Swimsuit On Turks & Caicos Vacation — Watch
Christie Brinkley is living her best life! The former model shared a clip of herself singing in the ocean, while rocking snorkeling gear.
Christie Brinkley has never looked happier! The 66-year-old took to Instagram on January 16 to share a clip of herself singing in the rain, offering her take on the classic 1952 Gene Kelly song. “I’m Swimming in the Rain,” she captioned the video adding, “[I] hope this gives you a laugh.” In the clip, Christie rocked a black one piece swimsuit, blue flippers, and snorkeling gear as she waded about in the crystal blue waters. The former Sports Illustrated covergirl is certainly living her best life while on vacation in Turks and Caicos.
“This made my day!!” one fan commented, while another wrote, “Fun and joyful!!! You are sunshine in the rain!!!” Of course, this wasn’t the first time Christie has proved she’s completely ageless. Most recently, she kicked off the new year with a gorgeous snap of herself posing beside the crystal blue ocean. “Cliffhanger,” she captioned her January 9 pic, in which she rocked an aqua blue bikini top and black, high-waisted bike shorts. Christie also stayed protected in a wide-brim straw hat, as she accessorized with a silver watch and a gold ring.
She doesn’t only look chic while relaxing on the beach, Christie also proved she can look glam while gardening. The former model posted a series of pics of herself on Instagram on January 11, which showed her watering some plants along the entrance to a seemingly private beach. She rocked a strapless red swimsuit, along with a large floral wrap which she wore as a skirt. The blonde beauty used the snap as an opportunity to discuss the state of America amid the Capitol riots on January 6. “It hurts my heart so much to hear all the terrible news,” she wrote in the photo’s caption. “We need to cultivate peace, calm and understanding. We need to grow love and mutual respect.” We can’t wait to see what Christie gets up to in 2021!
Lisa Rinna Fans Think She Looks Like A Kardashian With New Blonde Highlights Makeover
Lisa Rinna has debuted a new longer hairstyle and perfect makeup showing off her plump pout. Fans are remarking how the ‘RHOBH’ star looks like she could be a Kardashian sister.
Well hello Lisa Kardashian! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna is celebrating her new lipstick line, and released several glam photos of her wearing one of the products on her pillowy pout. In one snapshot she shared via Instagram on Jan. 15, fans said Lisa looked like she could be Kim Kardashian‘s twin! The 57-year-old ditched her iconic short shag for a long and perfectly styled hairpiece by celebrity wig and hair stylist Clyde Haygood, who just so happens to have worked on Kim’s tresses as well!
Lisa’s brunette locks featured blonde highlights, and the hair was pulled back with long extensions coming from a slight bouffant lift at the back of her head. The Bravo star’s skin looked extra bronzed in the photo, and she wore a rosy eye with super long and full lashes, perfectly contoured brows and dark liner that made her eyes look similar to the shape of Kim’s.
The mother of two’s famous oversized pout also resembled that of the SKIMS founder’s pillowy puckers. Lisa’s already large lips looked gorgeous in a shimmery pink shade from her new beauty line called “Rose All Day.” Add chunky hoop earrings and fans were doing a double take in the comments that Lisa bore such a striking resemblance the 40-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.
User @sanapapix commented, “Could pass for Kim K with this pic,” along with a hearts for eyes smiling emoji. @mettel74 told Lisa, “You look like Kim Kardashian…” to which @maryehorsman43 agreed, saying, “I said the same.” User @mellimoo21 marveled, “It is Kim Kardashian.” Fan @pamulafloyd told Lisa, “You have some @kimkardashian going on there.”
Other fans were completely wowed by Lisa’s long hairstyle, as she’s worn her short shag cut for nearly her entire career. Thus any time Lisa changes things up with her tresses, her IG followers notice. Fan @mez_mo_rizing told her “So love the hair on you…let your hair grow…it looks amazing on you,” while @alexeichamberland said, “Make this permanent.” User @dustin_barks commented, “Your hair is everything!!! Beautiful!” Fan @angela.marie.frangione gushed, “Wow you look like you went back in time! You look half your age! Beautiful!” This really is one of Lisa’s best looks, as her hair and makeup are absolute perfection.
‘WandaVision’ Recap: The Key ‘Ultron’ Connection You May Have Missed & What It Could Mean
‘WandaVision’ made its grand debut on Jan. 15. Wanda and Vision seem to be living the perfect sitcom life, but nothing is what it seems. There was one particular moment that hints at trouble ahead.
The first two episodes of WandaVision launched on its premiere day, and the second episode began to set the stage for the unraveling of what’s really going on. Wanda and Vision are still living out their black and white sitcom life without a care in the world. Wanda goes to a get-together in honor of the upcoming talent show with the other ladies of the neighborhood, including Agnes and Geraldine (a.k.a. Monica Rambeau). Wanda also meets the leader of the pack, Dottie. After everyone leaves, Dottie tells Wanda that she’s “heard things” about Wanda and Vision.
Wanda is caught off guard and assures Dottie that she doesn’t mean anyone “any harm.” Dottie replies, “I don’t believe you.” Suddenly the radio turns on and someone calls to Wanda. “Can you read me?” the mystery man asks. Dottie asks Wanda who is on the radio before turning to Wanda and saying, “Who are you?”
The voice continues to call out to Wanda. “Who’s doing this to you, Wanda?” the man asks. Wanda is in complete shock. A few moments later, the radio and the glass in Dottie’s hand explodes. When Dottie starts bleeding, it’s in color.
The next scene is a commercial for a Strucker watch. A close-up of the watch is shown, and there are some very telling clues about what’s at the heart of this story. The watch bears the HYDRA symbol and “HYDRA” is written in plain sight. The Strucker watch is a clear nod to Wolfgang von Strucker, one of the leaders of HYDRA. HYDRA has been one of the MCU’s biggest threats since Captain America, and it appears HYDRA may be far from extinct.
Strucker, Wanda, and Wanda’s brother Pietro were first introduced in a credits scene following Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Strucker showed List where the Scepter was and introduced him to Wanda and Pietro, who were being held prisoner in separate cells. This led right to Avengers: Age of Ultron. Strucker was eventually arrested by the Avengers and later killed by Ultron.
The reasons behind Wanda’s alternate reality are not explained in the first two episodes. If HYDRA is making a comeback, then it will be met with full force by S.W.O.R.D., the subdivision of S.H.I.E.L.D. that stands for Sentient World Observation and Response Department. The S.W.O.R.D. symbol is seen on the toy helicopter Wanda found in her yard and on the back of the Beekeeper’s suit at the end of the second episode.
